Why this Summit?
“I believe that… insulin resistance is the single most common health disorder in the world. It will increase the risk of essentially every chronic disease” Dr Ben Bikman.
And what is the number one cause of insulin resistance? The over consumption of refined carbohydrates (processed foods). Breads, pastas, cereals, grains, packaged foods. All the stuff that has exploded in our diets over the past 40 years. And what has exploded along with it? Type 2 diabetes. Fatty liver. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Cancer. Dementia. Auto immune conditions. Obesity. Depression. Anxiety.
When we feed an animal a diet that it is not evolved to eat, it gets sick. This is what is happening to the human population.
But it doesn’t have to! We can turn it around and watch our health improve when we make the choice to change the foods we eat. When we start with that, the flow on effect to our overall health and well being is enormous.
If you are female, you work or treat females, or you have anything to do with women's health, then this Summit is for you.
Don't be put off by the label 'Low Carb'. All it means is eating real, nutrient dense food. And this Summit is about showing you how to make this a lifestyle. No more dieting. No more restricting. Just simple ways to either return or stay in good health.
So if you're curious, start here.
So who would benefit from attending this Summit? Everyone! But particularly if you:
There are so many incredible people making a huge difference to people's lives within the low carb space. Together, we can have a stronger voice to get our message out about health and well being.
This year is even bigger than last year (which was amazing and you can still purchase that here for only $15AUD). There are even more presenters and more topics! Alexis is back to help you take a pause, we have some cooking tips and ideas, we also have JC giving us some tips on pain free mobility.
